Recycling

With various innovative schemes available, Jabez can even benefit from things you want to get rid of! Recycling in the broadest sense allows us to make good use of things you might consider to be obsolete, worthless, hidden treasures, too trendy, old fashioned, too big, too small – basically almost anything you don’t want but someone else might.

eBay Charity Auctions

The online auction website eBay has a Charity Auction facility, allowing private sellers to donate a percentage of any proceeds to a charity of their choice. It is amazing what people sell through eBay – you really should have a look if you haven’t already! If you are having a clear-out then eBay offers an attractive alternative to your local charity shop.

If you are not confident about managing the auction listing yourself, then we might be able to do that for you. Please contact us if you have items to donate or would like further information on internet auctions.

Recycle4Charity

Used ink jet cartridges and old mobile phones can be recycled, either for re-use or
safe disposal. Working with Recycle4Charity, Jabez will receive £1 for most original cartridges and about £5 for most recent mobile phones. Just click below to find out more and register, and you can then request Freepost bags or collection boxes. Why not request a collection box to use at work or church? There is absolutely no cost to you.

Foreign currency

Do you have any old foreign currency lying around - maybe sitting at the bottom of a drawer, in an old envelope, or on the dressing table? Any unwanted notes and coins can be exchanged and their value (less commission) will be donated to Jabez. You don't even need to sort or count the currency - simply collect it and send it directly to Coin Co, and even the postage is free! Call 01444 253777 for Freepost details.

Computer Aid International

Are you thinking of replacing your PC in the near future? Or have you upgraded recently and still got your old machine lying around? Computer Aid International welcomes donations of old equipment (subject to a minimum specification), from individuals or organisations, which they will recondition, test and then send to developing countries. There is a small charge payable to cover collection costs. Please note: Jabez will not benefit directly from this scheme.
